Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions explain how Nova Diamonds sells jewellery to consumers through www.novadiamonds.co.uk. Please read them carefully before placing an order. By placing an order, you confirm that you accept these terms.
1. Definitions
In these terms:
- “we”, “us” and “our” mean the business trading as Nova Diamonds, identified in section 2;
- “you” and “your” mean the consumer placing an order;
- “goods” means jewellery and any other products ordered from our website;
- “standard configured ring” means a ring selected using the standard options offered on our website, without engraving or a separately commissioned bespoke alteration; and
- “bespoke goods” means jewellery made to specifications agreed individually with you outside our standard website options, or goods that are engraved or otherwise clearly personalised.
2. About Nova Diamonds
The website is operated by Paragon Diamonds Limited, trading as Nova Diamonds.
- Correspondence address: 8 Heysham Drive, South Oxhey, WD19 6YJ
- Company number: 11058180
- Email: info@novadiamonds.co.uk
- Telephone and WhatsApp: +44 (0)7447 313233
Nova Diamonds is an online-only retailer. We do not operate a showroom, accept in-person visits or offer in-person collection unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
3. International Customers and Who May Order
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order. We currently accept orders for delivery to addresses within the United Kingdom only.
4. Product information and configuration
We take reasonable care to describe and display our jewellery accurately. Product photographs, videos, illustrations and Virtual Try-On features are visual guides only. Metal colour, finish, gemstone appearance and scale may vary because of lighting, photography and screen settings.
Virtual Try-On shows your selected band width proportionally on the finger; it is not an exact millimetre-scale measurement. It should not be used as a substitute for confirming the correct ring size and specification before ordering.
Natural gemstones and handcrafted jewellery may have small variations in colour, pattern, dimensions and finish. These natural or manufacturing tolerances are not faults where the goods remain consistent with their description and agreed specification.
You are responsible for checking all selected details—including metal, profile, width, depth, ring size, finish and engraving—before submitting your order. If you notice an error after ordering, contact us immediately. We cannot guarantee that a change will be possible once manufacture has begun, and an agreed change may affect the price and delivery estimate.
5. Prices and VAT
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Paragon Diamonds Ltd is not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not charged on our prices. Delivery within the United Kingdom is free under our standard insured-delivery service.
The price may change when you select a different ring size, width, depth, metal, finish or engraving. Larger sizes require more precious metal. Rather than making a larger ring thinner or lighter, we preserve the selected depth and appropriate proportions across sizes to maintain comfort, strength and quality.
We may change prices before an order is placed. A later website price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.
If a pricing error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised as an error, we may decline or cancel the affected order and refund any amount paid. Otherwise, if we discover an error before acceptance, we will contact you so that you may proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
6. Placing an order and formation of the contract
Our website will allow you to review and correct your order before payment. Your order is an offer to buy the goods. An automated acknowledgement or payment receipt does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order.
A binding contract is formed when we send an order confirmation accepting your order. We may refuse an order for a legitimate reason, including unavailability, an obvious pricing or description error, suspected fraud, inability to authorise payment or inability to deliver to the address supplied. If we do not accept an order after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid.
7. Payment
Payment is required in full when you order. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept eligible debit and credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, subject to availability on your device and browser. The payment methods displayed at checkout may change from time to time. We do not receive your complete card number.
You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method supplied. All refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method.
8. Production and delivery
Our wedding rings are made to order. Standard production normally takes approximately 2–3 weeks before dispatch. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date, unless we have expressly agreed a fixed date with you in writing.
We deliver within the United Kingdom using Royal Mail Special Delivery or another appropriate tracked and insured service. Delivery is normally made on the next working day after dispatch, but courier timings are outside our direct control. A signature or other proof of delivery may be required.
Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Contact us promptly if it needs to be changed. For security, we may need to verify an address change and cannot guarantee a change after dispatch.
The goods remain our responsibility until delivered to you or to a person you identify to receive them. Ownership passes to you once we have received payment in full and delivery has taken place.
If delivery is materially delayed, we will contact you. Your statutory rights concerning late delivery—including the right to set an appropriate additional deadline and, in some circumstances, cancel—remain unaffected.
9. Changing or cancelling an order before delivery
Contact us as soon as possible if you wish to change or cancel an order. Before manufacture begins, we will try to accommodate your request. Once work has started on engraved, personalised or separately commissioned bespoke goods, cancellation may not be possible because these goods are made specifically for you.
This section does not restrict the cancellation rights that apply to eligible standard configured rings after delivery, as explained in section 10.
10. Change-of-mind returns
10.1 Standard configured rings without engraving
You may cancel an eligible order for a standard configured ring without engraving by notifying us within 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods. You then have a further 14 days to return them.
You may examine the goods as you would reasonably be permitted to do in a shop. We may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the goods’ nature, characteristics and functioning. Please return jewellery unworn, undamaged and, where reasonably possible, with its original packaging, certificates and accompanying items.
10.2 Engraved, personalised and separately commissioned bespoke goods
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not normally apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. Engraved items and separately commissioned bespoke jewellery are therefore not returnable or exchangeable merely because you change your mind.
This exclusion does not apply if the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described. Your statutory rights always remain in place.
10.3 How to make a return
- Email info@novadiamonds.co.uk or telephone +44 (0)7447 313233, quoting your order number and stating that you wish to cancel or return the order.
- Wait for our return instructions and returns address. We do not accept returns in person.
- Package the jewellery securely with its certificates and accompanying items.
- Send the parcel using a tracked service insured for its full value and retain proof of postage.
You are responsible for the cost and safe return of non-faulty goods. We are not responsible for a returned parcel until it is delivered to us. We strongly recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery or another service providing suitable tracking and insurance.
10.4 Refunds
For an eligible cancellation, we will refund the price paid and any standard outbound delivery charge. As our standard UK delivery is free, no outbound delivery refund will normally be due. We are not required to refund any additional cost of a premium delivery option chosen by you.
We will issue the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving the returned goods or, if earlier, receiving satisfactory evidence that you sent them back. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or evidence of return. Refunds are normally made to the original payment method.
Full details are available on our Refund & Returns page.
11. Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods
We are under a legal duty to supply goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, as described and in conformity with the contract. If your goods are faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrect or misdescribed, contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order number and appropriate photographs.
Depending on the circumstances and timing, your legal remedies may include:
- a short-term right to reject qualifying faulty goods within 30 days;
- a repair or replacement; or
- a price reduction or final right to reject where the legal conditions are met.
We will cover reasonable return costs for goods confirmed as faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed. Please contact us before sending them so that we can provide suitable secure-return instructions. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
12. Lifetime manufacturing warranty
Our jewellery includes a lifetime warranty against manufacturing faults. If we confirm that a problem resulted from a manufacturing defect, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with the warranty and your statutory rights.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, scratches, accidental damage, misuse, neglect, loss, theft, unauthorised repair or alteration, or damage caused by failing to follow reasonable care instructions. We may need to inspect the jewellery before deciding whether the warranty applies.
The warranty is additional to, and does not replace or reduce, your statutory consumer rights. Jewellery insurance is separate and is recommended for loss, theft and accidental damage.
13. Ring sizing, care and repairs
You are responsible for ordering the correct ring size. Because resizing suitability depends on the design, metal, stone setting and amount of adjustment required, resizing is not guaranteed and may incur a charge unless required to remedy our error or a fault.
Jewellery should be worn and cared for appropriately. Precious metals can scratch and finishes can change through ordinary wear. Settings and stones should be checked periodically. Damage resulting from wear, impact, mishandling or third-party work is not a manufacturing fault.
14. Certificates and product documentation
Where a product listing or order confirmation states that a diamond or gemstone certificate will be supplied, it forms part of the order and should be kept safely. A return may be reduced to reflect the reasonable replacement cost of missing documentation or accompanying items where the law permits.
15. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, for losses caused by information or instructions supplied inaccurately by you, or for business losses where you purchase as a consumer.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
16. Events outside our reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control. We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible, take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and provide a revised estimate. If a substantial delay occurs, you may have the right to end the contract and receive a refund for goods not supplied.
17. Personal information
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and use cookies and similar technologies as explained in our Cookie Policy. Stripe and other providers involved in payment, fraud prevention, address verification and delivery may process information independently under their own privacy terms.
18. Website content and intellectual property
The website and its text, photographs, graphics, designs, logos and other content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit its content without permission.
We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free from errors. We may update, suspend or withdraw parts of it when reasonably necessary.
19. Complaints
If you have a concern, please contact us so that we can try to resolve it:
- Email: info@novadiamonds.co.uk
- Telephone or WhatsApp: +44 (0)7447 313233
- Post: 8 Heysham Drive, South Oxhey, WD19 6YJ
Please include your name, order number and a clear description of the issue. We will acknowledge and investigate complaints within a reasonable time.
20. Other important terms
If any part of these terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right. The contract is between you and us; no other person has a right to enforce it.
We may update these terms for future orders. The terms applying to your order are those in force when the contract is formed, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
21. Governing law and courts
These terms and any contract between you and us are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you retain the protection of any mandatory consumer laws that apply to you and may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
22. Model cancellation form
You may use the form below to cancel an eligible order, but you do not have to use it. Send the information by email to info@novadiamonds.co.uk or by post to the correspondence address in section 2.
